Abstract
Humerus şaft fraktürleri tüm fraktürlerin yaklaşık %1'idir. Humerus şaft fraktürlerinin bir tipi de, humerus şaftının distal 1/3 oblik kırığı olan Holstein-Lewis fraktürüdür.Humerus şaft fraktürlerinin klinik önemi, radial sinir palsileri ile birlikte bulunabilmeleridir. İnsidansı %11-20 olarak bildirilmektedir. Holstein-Lewis kırıkları,radial sinir hasarı ile birliktelik gösteren en sık humerus fraktürü tipidir. Humerus ile radial sinirin yakın teması, Holstein-Lewis kırıklarındaki yaralanmanın ana nedenidir. Günümüzde, humerus şaft kırıklarının çoğunun tedavisi konservatiftir. Radial sinir palsisi ile birlikte olan humerus şaft kırıklarında ise konservatif yöntemlerin seçimi tartışmalıdır. Biz bu vakada, açık el üzerine düşme sonucu Holstein-Lewis kırığı tanısıalan bir hastayı sunmayı amaçladık.

Abstract
Humerus shaft fractures constitute nearly 1% of all fractures.One of the types of humerus shaft fractures are Holstein-Lewis fractures, which are oblique fractures of the distal 1/3 part of the humerus shaft. The clinical importance of the humerus shaft fractures is their co-existance with radial nerve palsies. Incidence is reported to be about 11-20%. Holstein-Lewis fractures are the most frequent types of humeral fractures that are related with radial nerve palsies. The close contact of the radial nerve with the humerus is the main cause of injury in Holstein-Lewis fractures. Nowadays, treatment of humerus shaft fractures is mostly conservative. Preference of a conservative method in humerus shaft fractures with a radial nerve palsy is controversial. In our case report, we aimed to present a patient diagnosed with Holstein-Lewis fracture after falling down onto a stretched hand.
