Abstract
Giriş
Akupunktur
sağlık profesyonelleri tarafından özellikle kas iskelet sistemi ağrıları gibi
durumlarda yaygın olarak kullanılan popüler alternatif bir tıp tekniğidir. Bu
işlem esnasında hematom, doku irritasyonu, bulantı, kusma ve artan ağrı gibi
sıradan yan etkiler görülebildiği gibi pnömotoraks, hepatit B, hepatit C,
septisemi ve omurilik hasarı gibi ciddi komplikasyonlar da bildirilmiştir.
Olgu sunumu

yaşında bayan hasta, göğüs ağrısı ve nefes darlığı şikâyeti ile acil
servisimize başvurdu. Bir gün önce sırt ve kol ağrıları nedeniyle sırt
bölgesine akupunktur iğnesi uygulandığı öğrenildi. Hastanın oskültasyonunda,
sağ hemitoraksta solunum sesleri azalmış olarak duyuldu. Hastanın PA akciğer
grafisinde sağda yaklaşık %40 oranında pnömotoraks saptanması üzerine hastaya
sağ tüp torakostomi uygulandı. Hastaneye yatırılıp takip altına alınan hastanın
pnömotoraksı yatışının dördüncü gününde tamamen düzeldi ve göğüs tüpü
çıkarıldı. Ek bir komplikasyon gelişmeyen hasta yatışının beşinci gününde
önerilerle taburcu edildi.
Sonuç
Çoğunlukla güvenli bir
işlem olan akupunktura bağlı ciddi komplikasyonlar çok nadir görülmektedir.
Özellikle torakal bölgeye uygulanan iğnelere bağlı olarak hayatı tehdit edici
bir durum olan pnömotoraks gelişebileceği akılda tutulmalı ve hastalar mutlaka
kontrole çağrılmalıdır.
