Year 2018, Volume: 5 Issue: 2, 188 - 200, 10.06.2018

Abstract

AAim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the
degrees of quality improvement knowledge and experience among Turkey and Saudi
Arabia hospital quality professionals.
Material and Method
: Initially comparison between hospital quality
professionals of two countries in regards to the two factors were made
analysing the survey conducted. Due to the statistically significant
differences between means of two countries’ quality professionals’ six sigma
knowledge and experience in ANOVA analysis conducted; relationship of ages and
years of healthcare quality experience of both country professionals and their
averages for six sigma training and experience factor was analyzed. Results: An increase of means of six
sigma knowledge and experience by ages and years of work experience is found
for Saudi Arabia professionals. For Turkey hospital quality professionals, a
difference between age groups and work experience year groups could not be
found. A superiority of Saudi Arabia quality professionals over Turkey quality
professionals regarding all of quality improvement methods and also
certificates and trainings (except total quality management certificate) was
observed. As a conclusion of the study; beyond accreditation efforts, more
emphasis on hospital and department level quality improvement for Turkey is
suggested for higher level of health outcomes.

Sağlıkta Kalite Bilgi ve Deneyim Düzeyinin Değerlendirilmesi: Türkiye ve Suudi Arabistan Hastaneleri Kalite Çalışanları Arasında Karşılaştırma

Year 2018, Volume: 5 Issue: 2, 188 - 200, 10.06.2018
https://doi.org/10.17681/hsp.365273
