Adolesan Varikosele Güncel Yaklaşımlar

Abstract

ÖZET

Varikosel, adolesan yaş grubunda da erişkin yaş grubuna benzer sıklıkta görülmektedir. İnfertiliteye neden olabileceği için tanı ve tedavisinde dikkatli ve titiz olunmalıdır. Genel olarak adolesan varikosellerinde fertiliteyi korumak ve testis fonksiyonlarının korunması için yüksek derecede varikosel ya da testis volümünde % 20 azalma cerrahi endikasyon olarak kabul görmektedir. Bu nedenle adolesan varikoseli olan hastaların testis volümleri seri ultrason ölçümleri ve muayene ile yakından takip edilmelidir. Ergenlik döneminden sonra spermiyogram takibi de seri ultrason ölçümleri takipte önemli katkılar sağlar. Cerrahi tedaviden elde edilen başarı nedeniyle bu yaş grubunda tanısı oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışma da adolesan varikosel tanı ve tedavisi incelenmiştir.

Current Approaches to Adolescent Varicocele

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Varicocele has been occurred in adolescent age group with similar frequency as adult age group. As it may cause infertility, careful and meticulous care should be taken in the diagnosis and treatment. In general, a high degree of varicocele or a 20% decrease in testicular volume is accepted as surgical indication in adolescent varicoceles to preserve fertility and maintain testicular function. Consequently, testicular volumes of patients with adolescent varicocele should be closely monitored by serial ultrasound measurements and examination. Spermiogram follow-up after adolescence also provides important contributions in serial ultrasound measurements. Due to the success of surgical treatment, diagnosis is highly important at this age group. In this study, the diagnosis and treatment of adolescent varicocele was investigated.
