Abstract
Obesity prevalence is increasing in adults and children around the world. In the treatment of obesity; Many methods such as diet application, exercise, psychotherapy, medication, surgery and acupuncture are used. Acupuncture; There are studies explaining the mechanisms such as decreasing plasma gastrin level and gastric acid secretion in the stomach, increasing plasma beta endorphin, somatostatin, vasoactive intestinal peptide levels and their effects in obesity treatment. In this case report, the weight loss status of two people who received acupuncture treatment for obesity was evaluated and the studies on acupuncture in obesity treatment in the literature were reviewed. Our aim; "Can we lose weight with acupuncture?" to answer the question in the light of current information.

Abstract
Obezite prevalansı dünyada erişkinler ve çocuklarda giderek artmaktadır. Obezite tedavisinde; diyet uygulaması, egzersiz, psikoterapi, ilaç tedavisi, cerrahi ve akupunktur gibi birçok yöntem kullanılmaktadır. Akupunkturun; plazma gastrin düzeyini ve midede gastrik asit salgılamasını azaltması, plazma beta endorfin, somatostatin, vasoaktif intestinal peptid düzeylerini artırması gibi mekanizmalar ile obezite tedavisinde etkilerini açıklayan çalışmalar vardır. Bu olgu sunumunda, obezite için akupunktur tedavisi uygulanan bir çifttin kilo verme durumları değerlendirilmiştir ve literatürdeki obezite tedavisinde akupunkturla ilgili çalışmalar gözden geçirilmiştir. Amacımız; 'akupunktur ile kilo verilir mi?' sorusuna güncel bilgiler ışığında cevap verebilmektir.
