Öz
Aim: Immunsupressive effects of drugs used for treatment of rheumatological diseases can lead to activation of hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) in patients who came across before with these viruses.
Material and Method: 134 ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients who were followed in University of Health Sciences Bursa Resarch and Training Hospital Physical Treatment and Rehabilitation polyclinics were analysed retrospectively.
Results: Patients avarage age was 43.0±12.0. HBsAg positivity was 4.5%. Anti HBs positivity was 22.4%. In 2 patients (1.5%) Anti HCV was positive. In 32 patients (23.8%) isolated Anti HBc IgG positivity was present.
Conclusion: HBV and HCV infection prevalence in ankylosing spondylitis patients was parallel to previous literature whereas isolated Anti HBc IgG positivity rate was higher.

Öz
Amaç: Romatizmal hastalıkların
tedavisi için kullanılan ilaçların immünsupresif etkileri, hepatit B virüsü
(HBV) ve hepatit C virüsü (HCV) ile karşılaşmış hastalarda reaktivasyona neden
olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada ankilozan spondilitli hastalarda HBV ve HCV enfeksiyon
prevalansını araştırmayı amaçladık.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi
Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Fizik Tedavi ve
Rehabilitasyon polikliniğinde takip edilmekte olan 134 ankilozan spondilitli
(AS) hastanın kayıtları retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi.
Bulgular: Hastaların
ortalama yaşı 43,0±12,0 olarak tespit edildi. %4,5’inde HBsAg pozitif olarak
saptandı. Anti HBs pozitiflik oranı %22,4 olarak gözlendi. Hastaların 2’sinde
(%1,5) Anti HCV pozitif bulunmuştur. 32 hastada (%23,8) izole Anti HBc IgG
pozitiliği saptandı.
Sonuçlar: Ankilozan Spondilit’li
hastalarda HBV ve HCV enfeksiyon prevalansı
daha önceki çalışmalarda bildirilen oranlara paralel iken izole Anti HBc
IgG pozitifliği ise yüksektir.
