STUDY CATEGORIES TO BE ACCEPTED IN THE JOURNAL

A.     Research Articles; It consists of field studies, basic or clinical research, conducted on issues that are in line with journal policy.

Abstract should be prepared separately in Turkish and English languages ​​and should not exceed 300 words.

At the top of the Abstract (Abstract Title should be used), there should be the title of the study, content should be composed of the subheadings “Objective”, “Materials and Methods”, “Results” and “Conclusion. Turkish and English abstracts should contain at least 3 and 6 words at the bottom of the abstract. Full text; It consists of “Introduction”, “Objective”, “Materials and Methods”, “Results”, “Discussion”, “Study Limitations” and “Conclusion”. Full text just below the "References" should take place. The study should not exceed 10000 words in total.

The points to be considered in the content of research articles;

The main text of the study should consist of the following sections

Introduction; It should consist of three paragraphs. In the first paragraph, brief information about the subject of the study should be given, in the second paragraph, there should be a discussion topic that triggered the study, and in the last paragraph the purpose of the study should be included.

Aim; The aim and hypothesis of the research or research questions should be written.

Materials and Methods; Methods of study, population and sample, analysis methods, statistical programs used, measurement and evaluation methods should be included.

Inclusion and exclusion criteria should be included in the sample.

Findings; This section should be given to the findings of the study, the results should take place or literature review. Findings should consist of demographic characteristics and findings that test the study hypothesis and should not include findings that will not be included in the discussion section. Findings should be supported by tables and graphs.

Discussion; In this section, main and side results of the study are given. The results obtained are compared with similar results in the literature. Discussion topics irrelevant to the study results and not supported by the findings section should not be included.

Limitations; restrictive factors encountered in the study process should be mentioned in this section with a few sentences.

Result; The main conclusions of the study and the effects of the conclusions on existing practices should be included in this section with two paragraphs. Conclusion sentences incompatible with the purpose, subject and findings of the study should not be included. 

B.     Review Articles; In accordance with the Journal policy issues, and supported by the current international literature are scientific studies. The study should consist of abstract and full text sections.

Abstract (Abstract should be used) should be prepared separately in Turkish and English languages and should not exceed 200 words. The full text consists of “Introduction”, “Study Subheadings” and “Result”. Full text just below the "Resources" should take place. The study should not exceed 4000 words in total.

C. Case Reports; The aim of this course is to evaluate the cases that are encountered in the field of emergency services, supported by scientific knowledge and data, and which have education and information dimension. The study should consist of abstract and full text sections.

Abstract (Abstract should be used) should be prepared separately in Turkish and English languages and should not exceed 100 words. The full text should consist of “Introduction”, “Case Report” and “Discussion”. “References. Should appear just below the full text. The study should not exceed 2000 words in total.

D. Translation Articles; Covered by the publication of the Pre-Hospital Journal, the articles published in related scientific journals include shortened translations of important and current studies in terms of emergency services. Transcripts should be accompanied by a copy of the original article and permission letter.

E. Letter to the Editor; The developments that are requested to be announced to the wider masses about the developments that occur within the scope of the pre-

hospital journal can be sent to the editor in a letter format.

1.Pre-Hospital Journal (PHJ) is a national refereed scientific journal that works with a double-blind referee evaluation system and provides open access to readers. The journal is published twice a year: Fall (October-November) and Spring (March-April). Special numbers can be omitted if necessary.

2. In the studies that will be sent to the journal for evaluation, care must be taken the Turkish spelling rules.

3. Article submitted to the journal should not have been published in another journal, submitted for publication or accepted for publication. The name, place and date of the meeting should be indicated as a footnote in the papers that were presented and not published in any scientific meeting. 

4. Articles submitted to the Journal of Prehospital, editor and assistant preliminary examination is taken in terms of form and content by editors, in general, it is worth being judged and published in the journal are then sent to referees. The article is sent to 2 (two) referees related to the field. Which article is sent to which referees is decided according to the referees 'and articles' interests. No information is given to the authors about the identity of the referees evaluating the article, and to the referees about the identity of the submitted article. The referee reports are confidential.

5. Article sent from the two arbitrators are queued to be published article reported the case of a positive opinion. The article is not published under any circumstances in case of negative feedback from both referees. If two referees give different opinions, the article is sent to a third referee; it is decided to publish or not to publish according to the third referee's response. According to the reports from the referees, it is decided whether the article should be published (acceptance), corrected, added or removed, or not (rejected) and this decision will be notified to the author or authors.

6. If the referees give their opinion in the direction of correction, the author is applied and the author is asked to complete and send the necessary corrections. No changes can be made to the articles sent for correction, other than the requests of the referees and the editor. Corrected articles are not published unless they are corrected within the time specified by the author or authors.

7. No fee is paid to the authors for the articles published in the journal. The articles submitted to the journal for publication are not sent back, whether they are published or not. However, the articles requested correction can be sent back to ensure the correction.

8. The opinions and scientific responsibilities in the articles belong to the author or authors and do not link the Pre-Hospital Journal. If the articles are accepted for publication, the Pre-Hospital Journal will have all the publishing rights. In case the decision would have transferred the study to be published in the Journal of Prehospital broadcast rights to the authors.

9. By the author of the article and the following values of the layout must be made in an appropriate manner:

Paper Size: A4 Vertical (Horizontal pages should not be included in the article)

Top Margin: 3 cm

Bottom Margin: 3 cm

Left Margin: 3 cm

Right Margin: 3 cm

Font: Times New Roman

Font Size: 12 in title, 11 in text, 10 in abstracts and 9 in footnotes

Paragraph Spacing: First 6 pt - then 0 pt

Paragraph Indent: First Line 1.25 cm in text, Hanging 0.4 cm in footnotes.

Line Spacing: 1 in 1.5 footnotes in the text.

Main headings (first level) should be written in 14 pt, bold and capitalized. Subheadings (second level) under the main headings should be 12 pt, bold and the first letters uppercase. Other titles (third level) under the subtitles should be written in 12 font size, bold, and initial letters are lowercase.

There should not be any space before the point at the end of the sentence and the sentence should be started by leaving a space after the point.

There should be no spaces before the comma and there should be a space between the words in the sentence.

Comma must be used when separating decimal numbers.

It should be written without a space between the percent sign (%) and numbers. The percent sign should be written before the number in Turkish articles and after the number in English articles. (  ), “” And / sign should be written without a space before and after the sentence / word.

Numbers or letters should not be used for itemizations in the text.

Various statistics; For example, italics should be displayed when variance analysis values (F, t, z), correlation (R, r) and other statistical indicators are reported.

All units used must be "System International" (SI) units. Generic names of drugs should be used. Trade name should not be used.

Abbreviation should not be used in title or abstract. Abbreviations should be made where the relevant words are first used in the text and the number of abbreviations should be as low as possible. No source should be specified in the Summary section.

Table titles should be given on the table and the first letter of the words should be capitalized (Ex: Table 1: Factors Affecting Patient Safety).

Figure / graphic titles should be given below the figures / graphics, should be written in italics and the first letter of the words should be lowercase (Example: Figure 1: Miller's mastery pyramid for clinical evaluation).
