Journal of Anatolian Medical Research (JAMER) publishes articles that comply with ethical and scientific standards. The ethical, scientific and legal responsibility of the articles published in the journal belongs to the author(s) and does not reflect the views of the editors and editorial board members.

Editorial and publication processes of the journal are International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and It is formatted in accordance with the guidelines of the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) organizations. The editorial and publication processes of the journal are carried out in accordance with the Transparency and Best Practice Principles in Scientific Publishing (doaj.org/bestpractice).

Ethics Committee Approval should be obtained for all prospective and required retrospective studies, including studies with experimental animals, and the date (day-month-year) of Ethics Committee Approval should be stated in the "Materials and Methods" section of the manuscript. In all articles where the privacy of the patient must be protected, as required by ethical and legal rules, patient identification information and photographs cannot be published without the written informed consent of the patient (or his legal guardian), so "Written consent was obtained from the patient (or legal guardian) that his medical data can be published". It should be stated in the “Materials and Methods” section (at the end of the Introduction section for articles that do not have a Material and Method section). Committee approval showing compliance with international ethical rules in studies on animals should be obtained from the relevant animal ethics committee. In addition to ethical committee approval, the actions taken to avoid pain, suffering and discomfort to animals should be clearly stated in the article.

Publication Policy:

All the content of the journal, related forms and full text files of the articles can be accessed free of charge at kayseriseah.dergipark.org.tr/jamer or Dergipark, that is, open access is provided. No fee or compensation is paid for the articles published in the journal. No fee is charged from the author(s) for the publication of their articles. Scientific and ethical responsibilities of the articles belong to the authors. All biomedical research on subjects must comply with international ethical rules and must be approved by local ethical committees. Manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal must not have been previously published elsewhere or sent for publication. Studies that have been presented in congresses before should be stated in the Cover Letter sent to the Editor. If the article contains some of the topics in a previously published article by the author(s), this should be stated in the Cover Letter and a copy of the previous article should be uploaded to the journal page along with the new reference files.
The names of people, institutions or organizations that do not meet the authorship criteria but contributed to the study can be included in the "Acknowledgements" section.
The format of the manuscripts should be arranged according to the rules of “Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals: Writing and Editing for Biomedical Publications (http://www.icmje.org)”. Authors are required to fill out and submit the "Acknowledgement of Authorship and Transfer of Copyright Agreement" form stating that the publication rights have been transferred and clearly indicate if there are any conflicts of interest issues. This form can be accessed from the journal website. With this document signed by all authors and sent to the journal, the authors are deemed to have given their guarantee that the work they sent has not been published in another journal and/or is not under review for publication, and they are deemed to have declared their scientific contribution and responsibilities.

Evaluation process:

Manuscripts sent to JAMER Journal are first reviewed by the Editorial Board for an objective evaluation. Editors have the right to reject articles directly or to send them back for re-editing. If there is no reason to reject the manuscript at this stage, the manuscript is sent to two separate referees on the subject. Referees invited for article evaluation are requested to accept the invitation within a maximum of 7 days. The article that receives two positive referee reports from the field evaluation is entitled to be published. The article, which receives a positive and the negative referee report, is sent to a third referee and whether the article is published or not is determined in accordance with the report of the third referee and/or the editor's decision. The evaluation period of the referees who accept the invitation is maximum 30 days. If the referees do not accept the evaluation or do not send the evaluation report at the end of the determined day, the article is sent to a new referee for evaluation. After evaluating the article, the referees send the evaluation form containing their comments and suggestions to the editor. The referee's comments and suggestions are forwarded to the authors by the editor and they are asked to upload the corrected article back to the system. Authors' revision period is a maximum of 60 days. If the referees want to see the article again after correction, the article is sent to the referees for evaluation. This process continues until the referees give their opinion on the acceptance or rejection of the article. The opinions of the referees are evaluated by the editor(s) within 15 days at the latest. As a result of this review, it conveys its final decision to the author(s).
A published article is considered the property of the journal. Editing, revision, acceptance and rejection processes will be carried out entirely online by the editor(s), consultant editors and/or referees via the kayseriseah.dergipark.org.tr/jamer website. After corrections and typesetting, all rereading should be done by the author online and sent back to the editor within a maximum of two weeks.
